What's wrong with the 2016 Ram? That Cummings should be good for 200-300K.

I just bought electric lockers for my 2014 Ram. It’s still running strong at 225,000 miles. Sure I’ve replaced stuff, which is to be expected with how I drive it. It doesn’t rattle in the cab. The engine doesn’t leak. The transmission is still working great. It’s got dents and scratches that I’d rather not replicate on a new $95,000 truck.

We are currently running a couple of Cummins ('09 ~210k & '22 ~45k) and are number 9 & 10 since 1991, well over 1.5 million total miles accumulated over the past 33 years. I have no reason to look outside the higher end package Dodge (now Ram) when ready to upgrade next. I've heard good things about the Fords though. I would have to look very close between the Chevy & Ford if I ever did decide to shift to another brand and also what my main needs were.
We've had numerous GM products over the last ~50 years, mostly for my wife (several old 6.2l & 6.5l diesel suburban, traverse, various model cars) and they all seem to drive really well and decent fuel mileage/longevity. The seating arrangement fits both of us pretty good too (she's 5'5" and 6'3").

Keep whatcha got.
I am enjoying my 2022 gasser Silverado 2500. At times, I wish I still had my '15 F-250 Lariat though.

In the past 5 years I have had new 3/4 or 1 ton diesels from all three brands. None of them did the job better than the others nor did any of them have more issues than the others. It really boils down to personal preference. Which one do you like the look of? Which interior do you like? If you are looking for some sort of quantifiable significant difference between them there isn’t one. Go drive all three and buy the one that you like.

Any of the three I would feel confident owning. You might want to get a few quotes on all three and see which is your best bang for the buck and that may help your decision. Get a quote Mark Dodge for ordering a Ram. The build delivery times are faster than when I ordered mine and no one could come close to matching the price. And it is my understanding the base msrp pricing came down significantly just a week ago. We ultimately went with the Ram last year because we had been real happy with the Ram truck we traded in.

I have a Dodge dealership right down the road from my house.
From Covid thru present day, they always had inventory of trucks.
They are offering big incentives right now which Ford and GM are not doing on 3/4 tons

All three brands are good, it’s usually a hit and miss on the Lemons. Like said above, go sit in each cab and pick the one that appeals to you.
My order would be. 1.Ford 2. GMC 3.Chevrolet 4. Tundra 5. Anything but a Ram.

Thank you for the input. I am sure I will end up keeping what I have for awhile but someone may tempt me with a good deal if I see one.
And Superduty, If you had answered differently, you would have to change your name

I believe all the Truck brands are just fine. Yes, you could get a lemon. SO, I judge on Looks.
IMO
Hard to beat the GMC 2500 AT4 Chevy Silverado Back Countery Tundra TRD Off Road Dodge Ford (stale looks)
