I had a stroke today. God was looking out form as I was working an event and a Paramedic happened to be walking right in front of me as it happened I'll be in the ICU for the next two hours and possibly a week I was fine one minute taking a picture and the next I couldn't talk ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2024/03/full-18538-416551-img_9853.jpeg)

Hey Steve. You are posting, so things must not be too bad.
Are they calling this a full blown stroke or a transient ischemic attack (TIA)?
I went through a TIA about 18 months ago. Almost no permanent damage. It was quite a wakeup call. I was teaching an on-line class with 18 students scattered across the US when I started taking gibberish.

Wife had full blown stroke 6 years ago and made full recovery with no side effects. Praying yours is the same. Handg in there!

I'm scheduled for an MRI this morning. I'll know more after that. I'm going to be I the ICU two more days. And may not be released for a week
They gave me the Tenecteplase (TNK) blood thinner. Unfortunately I had a reaction but not severe
