I already wadded up a Tipton one piece. Probably not the rod's fault. Most like the male jag that broke off in it not once but twice.
So recommend a good rod and Jags for 22 caliber (22-250), 25 caliber (25-06) and .284 (7mm PRC).
Are female jags better?
Go!

Dewey. I can’t say it’s the best but I really like it.

I've got Dewey coated, Pro Shot and Tipton carbon/graphite coated...I don't like any of them. I'd probably go Montana Extreme or BoreTech...assuming you are a cry once guy. I need to break down and buy one of those two so I'll know but those are the two on the current radar.

I've been using nylon-coated Dewey for 30 yrs. Typically female jags, though I've got both styles. They work well enough that I've never considered upgrading.
Montana X-treme and Bore Tech both look well-made, but I've personally never even seen, let alone had a chance to use, either one.

I needed one longer than my Tipton. I bought a Montana Extreme probably 10 years ago. It cleans a barrel per week, minimum. So, it's stood up to a whole lot of work put on it. Still working like new.

I looked at these but found the handle might be too large to clear the top of the stock. My one-piece Pro Shot rod has a smaller diameter handle that clears the stock easily. Of course, I could use a longer one but suspect my 36-inch rod will be easier to handle.
