Savage Bolt actions. Yes they are accurate but they can be horrible at feeding and extracting.

I’ve not seen anything leading up to this, I’ve been on vacation the last week, but I did see the thread in OT still can’t make heads nor tails of it all.
When I read the title I immediately thought anything HK or FN SCAR.

When I read the title I immediately thought anything HK or FN SCAR. Thems some fighting words. First of all, it H & K. Ugh, do you know that the most tested pistol in the world is H&K MK23. So ep so facto it's the best so it can't be over rated. DUH! hahaha totally jk. I do think the SCAR sucks. still won't replace and AR for me, especially not at the price difference.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

@regularguy11BlaidoverBryanCHeimann10Gauge, You have trouble with reading comprehension. I never commented on you changing you screen name or trolled you for doing so. I asked you to back up your claim that others on this thread had as well. You can not, because you totally fabricated that thought in your mind. I don't think you're a liar, at all. It would be better if you were because that would require some cognitive ability. You seem like an old person with dementia. You really believe these things. I actually defended you in the Grandmother thread because I felt sorry for you. Read it. Changing your screen name doesn't change "You". Get some help.

I have owned a Remington Mohawk in .308, several 700's in .270 win, Ruger 77 in .270, a Sako Forester in .308 (which seems to fit me better than any other), but none of them will shoot with my Tikka T3X Hunter in .270 win
The wooden stock is not my favorite thing about it, The Sako has my vote on that account, but I cant gripe about the trigger, the slick bolt, or the accuracy right out of the box.
What's not to like??

Well you can see what led up to it in the back room. Since some people are gonna continue to use my full name it’s pretty pointless .
If you change it to scottfromallen i am going to mistake you for a relative

You must not do much long range shooting. Of course I’m kidding.

Shocked JG said R700...damn near every custom action we have was built off that design, both footprint and function.
After reading the replies I'll add...any bolt action rifle that has double ejectors...dumb idea.
JG2.0 is a tikka action man!!!! and He just doesnt like curves he likes them with 20 degree angle flat assess if my fierce didnt shoot as well as it did, I sell it and build a 22” rifle, But ya the dual ejector is special

Ruger 10/22, just because most end up with only the frame being Ruger.
I just bought my first 10/22 and I did add a butt pad and cheek riser so that I'd have a cheek weld with the red dot and needed the longer LOP. It is the 1256, stock sucks but, even with the crappy trigger it will stack em in there so that after 25 rounds there aint but a ragged hole at 25 yards. I bought it for falling plate matches it will do that fantastically. I might change the trigger out to a BX trigger but aint gonna go any further down a rabbit hole for anything better. Yeah, I know, lots have said that too. All that said, you really need to see how accurate they are before you just start adding $ to it.
If I want real accuracy, I will use my bolt guns and just save the money for the better ammo.

I almost said Tikka T3 because they are so hyped on the forum but worst case scenario, they are only slightly over rated. .

I almost said Tikka T3 because they are so hyped on the forum but worst case scenario, they are only slightly over rated. . Yep. I would include the caveat, it is a very nice rifle. But it is by far thr most popular gun in the forum. If you would prefer a nice wood stock from the factory, tikka delivers but so do others in the price range. To me, if i were looking at a nice rifle with wood around $1k a model 70 featherweight is tough to beat. Maybe a ruger hawkeye compact. You love it or hate it i guess. That 16” hawkeye compact is a sweetheart of a rifle. You can have it in 7mm-08 to retain club status here. Better yet have somebody AI it too.
