Several years back the spouse told me we needed to build a shed for his shed antlers. I said fine but half has to be for general storage/camping stuff. Reluctantly he agreed.
Today he told me he was going to pull some antlers out so we could find some for my cousin that requested a few for her little store.
She's getting some medium and small elk, mule deer and a few deadheads.

These are mostly sheds and dead head pickups, our euros are in the house or garage except for the big elk shown.

Tomorrow they all go back in the shed.
I bet he puts some elk on top this time, they were all buried under the deer.

Pretty neat, do you all sell them? I remember they do some sort of a shed auction in Jackson

We had a pile like that, my niece sold them. We have another pile going. It takes years of being a vigilant hunter to find that many

We don't sell any of them, he does give away quite a few.

We have been to the antler auction in Jackson, pretty cool weekend. They used to have a big sale set up on the square where other folks could come in and sell their antlers and skulls etc.

We have been blessed over the years to have private access for shed hunting, most of the elk came from a ranch we hunted back when we 1st moved to Wyoming.
The deer are mostly from the ranch we work for now.
Going up next weekend to look around a bit and see what is laying around.

All back in except for about 15-18 sheds and deadheads going down to my cousin.
If any of you are close, stop by the general store in Elwood.

Left out some broken elk that spouse will cut into dog chews, we give them to our friends.
Found out he had a lot more elk sheds than he thought. some cool old mule deer too we found back in the late 80's /early 90's.

Frankly we wish selling them was not legal. Lots of folks like to push animals around before winter is over trying to pick up sheds and trespassing to find them has gotten crazy.
We deal with the same a hole every year trespassing to find antlers for his arch and collection, he's a poacher too.

Shed hunting seasons now have to be set to keep folks off winter range on public lands, but thankfully residents get a week head start on that madness now, lol.
Heck some states are requiring a license to pick up sheds now it has gotten so crazy out here.
