Funny since I'll have my third kid under 22 driving in about three weeks.

Pass the gravy.

I had three lug nuts all driving at the same time. "Fun" time.

Been there, done that. Had 3 kids driving and in college at the same time, 6 vehicles (a spare) and 5 cell phones and an extra house for them to live in where the college was. Thank the Lord for overtime.

I have 2 kids on mine. One has totaled a truck and been in a small fender bender. He is expensive. I am wondering if I put him on his own policy if it would be cheaper overall because my wife has an expensive car and the insurance raises the rate because they said he could drive it.

It's what my parents did to me. I got my own policy when I was 19 because they were going to lose theirs due to my problems. I had a $700 downpayment and $150 per month for seven months then four months off. Rinse and repeat for three years until I could get "regular" insurance again. I'm thinking about putting my college kids on their own policies so that when I quit paying for it myself, they won't have much more to do than take over the payments. I own all five cars.

Pass the gravy.

Nope, likely not. If over 18, you can change title into his name (very important) and set him up with his own and learn what it is like in the "real world". Should be way more expensive. He does need to learn that he must pay for his mistakes or he will have litle reason to be more careful.
