When a past client contacts you and says “come by my work and check out what we are doing. I want to build you a rifle for helping my family find such a great house”, the. You go see him!

This man and his family have become a second family to us, and I am blessed to have met them, for they embody the family values that we as Americans are losing touch of. Himself, his family, and a lot of his friends are from Russia, and 1 is Asian and. Giant of a man at over 6’5”. God fearing, hard working, down to earth family men. I’m happy to see them chasing their dreams.

Anyway, about 2 years ago they changed career paths and with the help of an industry insider, they started Outlier barrels and chassis. They are also a part of Arken optics, or visa versa, not real sure on that whole ordeal, but it doesn’t matter.

They walked me through their barrel making process, which is both easier and more difficult than I imagined. They are not 100% CNC barrels, they still use some old school tools to get them job done. For $350 you can pick up one of their pre fits for just about any rifle action out there. Yes they are heavy, basically 416r truck axles, that are then nitride coated on the inside. This brings the soft stainless up to a 62 Rockwell hardness. For $350 you get a lifetime shootout guarantee. Shot it out and get a free replacement, shoot that one out and the next barrel is sold at a reduced cost. Oh, and they shoot pretty damn good.

Here’s the rifle he assembled for me with a Remington 700 action I provided. I requested an 18 inch fluted all black barrel. They installed there ZroRise muzzle break, and dropped it in their chassis, which accepts AICS magazines and has an ambidextrous mag release around the trigger guard. Fully adjustable butt stock, which I’m going to make a folder, this is their Gen 1 stock and they are going to upgrade me to the Gen 2 once it’s complete. They topped it with a Leupold rail, Arken 34mm rings and an Arken SH4 4-16 illuminated with VPR reticle.

That’s an awesome customer and a statement to your services but that is an $800 barrel. Congratulations.

That's pretty slick and an awesome thank you from a client. I've got an 18" 308 that needs a stock, that gives me some ideas.

Very Nice. .308 with 18" barrel will become your go to killer.

I have one in Remington 600 that rides in the Ranger 100% of the time. Perfect killing machine.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

Yes sir. I hated to give up my 243 for the donor action, but I’ve gone back to 22-250 for coyotes until I decide to go to 22CM.
