Pretty typical for a dem run county. He doesn't have anything to worry about. You saw his picture right?

With Houston’s past chief from 2016-2020 Art Acevedo, I’m not surprised at all. That dude is worthless as a leader

With that type of record and with it going public, I think I would avoid going to Houston and pretty much all costs. It will get considerably worse before if ever, it gets better.

What are the chances of solving any of these cases after being shelved for so long?
(He said his department’s top priority has been reaching out to people who filed the more than 4,000 sexual assault reports that were suspended. At least 32 officers have been assigned to review those cases, contact people and conduct follow-up interviews.
More than 3,000 of those cases have been reviewed so far, and 133 victim interviews scheduled. Police have also been working to contact people who filed family violence incident reports, Finner said.
Also suspended were 109,000 reports filed with the major assault division and 91,000 in property and financial crimes. And 6,537 reports filed with the homicide division were dismissed, but most of those were related to claims of assaults and threats, Finner said.)

Hey watch the Oak Cliff (OC) trash talking, I grew up in the Cliff and back then most of it was mainly a nice lower to middle class family neighborhoods. Still have a brother with a few loose screws that still lives there, had breakfast yesterday at Norma's on Davis St. with my SIL , had lunch last week with my sister at Luby's on Hampton Rd. The roughest part of Oak Cliff use to ne on the east side of I-35 Yes it is a little more diverse than it was in the 60's & 70's but nowhere near the melting pot in Houston. Lived in Houston twice in the 80's, even back then it was a melting pot of every nationality on earth, only a few nice areas for lower to middle class folks to live safely. Building codes were a joke with high rises in the middle of neighborhoods

Houston has been a hell hole for a long while now. Good for work but do not live in or anywhere near it if you can avoid it. Can't wait to move far away from it myself.

Their system is beyond broken without 250k cases not being investigated. That number is unbelievable.
You would think it would be noticed. Example. Detective gets called in on a rape case, interviews victim, ensure she gets a rape exam. That detective should look for that report the next day and be assigned the case. After a couple times of noticing it was coded incorrectly, the system shoulda been looked into.
265k cases over 8 years. That’s nearly 100 crimes a day not investigated.

It's a Dem controlled city. If the cases were investigated and filed, the DA would probably not prosecute them. If he did, he wouldn't incarnate the offenders. With the invasions from the border it's gonna get worse, a lot worse.

Went to the Houston Rodeo yesterday and we survived. First time going there since the 80s. My wife wanted to go to the concert. Pulled up to a red light and this crazy guy was leaning out of his truck shooting the finger and yelling f you to everyone. I started cracking up and rolled down the window so I could hear him better the wife didn’t like that. Saw a motorcycle almost crash being stupid on 610 but that was the only drama we saw.
