01/31/24 Update: DA definitely leaves a lot to be desired in the customer service/communication department. After an initial mix up 11/28-12/07 of them placing an order for a NomadTI in lieu of my requested NomadLTi, there was silence until I sent an email asking for update on 01/09. Finally received a response on 01/16 that they were awaiting Form3 approval. That same day, I received the NomadLTi serial number, $0 invoices for the replacement order, and UPS shipping information for a package to be delivered to my dealer (assuming it was the suppressor itself). UPS package was delivered 01/23, called dealer yesterday as still nothing from DA, dealer confirmed they received a NomadLTi with my name on it from DA. They, just like I, have been in attempt to contact DA as we have still received no instruction on how this process should be handled.

This sounds like your dealer doesn't know how to handle the transfer. Not sure how that's DA's fault. I may have misread it, but that's what I could get out of it.

Looks like your dealer needs to process a Form 4 for you. Your dealer is probably wanting to collect his NFA fee as well. Wait time…~ 6 months.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

We welded thin titanium tubing in a vacuum chamber. That was the only way we could get welds without a brittle heat affected zone.
some people like silver and gold I like brass and lead with a little powder in between

Is the serial number the same as the suppressor being replaced?

If the tube with the SN was destroyed the OP is going to lose it over what happens next.

I do not disagree nor argue the fact that it only makes sense for the next step to be filing of a new Form4. My problem lies with DA's lack of communication from initial contact in October to now. There are either a lot of coincidences in this or my reminder emails are the only thing that kept the ball rolling. If in my day job I did not communicate with my clients, I probably wouldn't have too many satisfied clients in return. Ultimately it is all water under the bridge now as all that is left is the ATF waiting game. Just sharing my overall experience for the next unlucky guy.

I have had that exact same thing happen to me with a silencerco Omega. the good thing is that you still have the part with the serial number. So just send it in and they will press it back together. No big deal.
Your ammo is too hot.
Mine blew apart because the barrel was too short.

Latest update is DA has, in my eyes yet again, failed this process. Payment for the replacement tax stamp was received yesterday, March 4th. That is a whole 108 wasted days from the time I told them my decision to replace in kind with a paid tax stamp. I can now finally start the Form4 process, thankfully with no more involvement through DA.

Damn, that's no good. I've got a couple DA cans and no issues, but I did witness a Nomad separate at the weld while at the range. Blew half the can 40 yards down range and the other half was still attached to the rifle. Not sure whatever happened with the fella. I had heard from a buddy that if non-repairable he'd heard that they could destroy the item and just stamp your same S/N on the new one so you didn't necessarily have to wait. Guessing that wasn't an option since the model would have changed in your case also.
Suppose it's at least getting resolved albeit not in the most opportune manner. Good luck to ya.

Sucks all the way around! There is some talk that the eFile Form 4 is only taking weeks instead of months now, so maybe you'll have some luck in this whole clusterF.

ntxtrapper - Do you mean direct thread or QD on a brake? I believe it was on a brake, but not 100%. But if you look at the nomads you can see the welds, assuming at each baffle. It perfectly separated on one of those welds. He was running a 308 precision bolt gun so it was definitely not an issue related to rapid fire or the can overheating. We were at a 1000 yard range when it happened. I caught the can fly out of the corner of my eye.

This is getting harder to read . Are you able to leave a review? Maybe we should throw DA under the BBB bus

A little bit of closure on this ordeal...efiled on 3/12/24 and received approval 4/12/24. Headed to pick up the new can tomorrow.
