Looking for a hunt for either nilgai, scimitar oryx, or addax this upcoming fall. Would prefer the first week or two of October. I'd really like to use someone from this site. Never done anything like this with time to plan but I actually put a few nickels together, so I'm trying to come up with a budget. Ive looked at all kinds of websites and they left me a little overwhelmed. I know a few folks on here go on hunts like this and a few outfits frequent this page of the forum so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I was thinking anywhere from 3500 to 6000 on a kill/package fee ( I know addax usually go much higher but have seen several places in the 4500 to 6000 range. A 10 to 15 percent tip on the guide. If meals are involved something like a 100 to 200 to the cook depending on quality unless I get tossed baloney or MREs. Could go a smidge higher on guide depending ( I'm an over 50 disabled vet and won't be a ton of help once the critter is down). Saw that some places have a daily guide fee and that may push tip in the other direction if experience is not at least decent. Don't need the red carpet and anything more than an Army cot is a bonus, climate control is necessary though.

Appreciate any advice you could give or experiences ya'll could share.

I can recommend The King Ranch for Nilgai the day hunt will be well within your budget and Nilgai meat is fantastic. I know they will accommodate your disability.

I have hunted with Mulie Mike on here with West Texas Hunt Organization. He can totally hook you up on addax or Scimitar. I have never had anything but a great experience hunting with Mike.

Good luck in your search.

Thanks Erny, much appreciated.

Bones72 I can take care of you on a big scimitar oryx cow this fall and possibly a bull. I can also possibly do addax and either will be in your budget.
Message me if interested in details.
