On Feb 20th, I mailed two small boxes to a sister in Natchez, MS. One arrived promptly. The other went to Coppell, then to Ft Worth, then to Jackson MS, then to Shreveport, then to Dallas, then to Ft Worth again. Lord, give me strength.

Should I just let this play out, or would trying to contact these morons help the process?

Not the same USPS as we use to know it! How much money did they lose last year?

"USPS efficiency" That's an oxymoron.

Time for them to close their doors.

99 percent of my mail is junk. Junk mail should cost twice as much.

I mailed a money order in an envelope to Pennsylvania for a rifle. It took 27 days (arrived on 29 Feb).

I already assumed it was intercepted by a theif and cancelled it lol.

There is no such thing as *USPS Efficiency*

I'll take them over FedEx any day. BTW, UPS and FedEx won't ship a long gun intrastate person to person for you because they are both anti 2nd Amendment companies. USPS will.

It may take longer but everything I’ve sent or had sent to me through USPS has always arrived. I had FedEx deliver a gun to my FFL for me and they delivered it to a narcotics anonymous building. They might as well have just pitched it over a prison wall.

It's the junk mail that keeps the post office afloat.

They aren’t a business roflmao They are in Article I, Section 8, Clause 7 of the United States Constitution. They just need an overhaul. I refuse to support UPS and FedEx because of their anti 2nd Amendment actions so they are the only option for me. I’m sure others on here will support the anti 2nd common carriers though.

In Wolfe City, Texas the USPS left a small white box sitting on the gravel of my driveway. 20 feet from the largest mailbox available at Home Depot, as well as a 48" Job Box labeled "Packages All Carriers".

In that small box was a rifle action and bolt from Curtis Customs. His FFL has to log it out to my FFL. And I have to log it into my book, with his FFL information. The local post office heard an ear full about it. And they were also informed if a firearm is lost in transit I am bound by law to notify the ATFE and the local post office can deal with them. I havene had many problems since, except for going 3 to 5 days with no mail.

When a FedEx signature required package is coming to me, I have the best driver ever! He will call or text me at 0800 and let me know he's enroute. Months ago he did that on a Friday and I wasn't home. He asked should he sign for it, for me, or hang on to it. I told him it was some "sensitive materials" so please hold onto it. He said no problem and we made the swap on Monday.

Having said all that, it depends on where you live, in some cases. When I am placing an order, I will pay more for UPS or FedEx. At least I get my packages.

Where you live definitely has a lot to do with it. My USPS lady has my cell phone number and UPS may have the same driver but maybe not. FedEx uses temporary drivers so good luck with them here.

I am halfway between OKC and DFW and have seen a package go from one to the other then back then here in 18 hours.

Two weeks ago I shipped one that went from here to FW to Dallas to FW to Dallas to Shreveport to MA.

A couple months ago I made an order online for my wife and it never showed. After three weeks the seller sent another batch of the same stuff. It never arrived either. Both made it all the way to my local PO in town before moving no further. Finally got the local director to admit there was "an internal problem" there.

I have ZERO issues with FedEx or UPS. It's all USPS here.

Pass the gravy.

Tracking your USPS packages is an entertaining sport. You never know where they will go or when they will arrive. And once delivered you can hunt them in your mailbox, shrubs and in the yard four houses away.

Update: the package is still in circuit. Mailed from Groesbeck on Feb 20. Went to Coppell on the 21st. Went to Ft Worth on the 22nd, and then 6 days on the road to Jackson MS. Then it went to Shreveport. And then to Dallas and on to Fort Worth. Then back to Groesbeck, and we told them to hold it there, but they said they’d sent it to Thornton and then back to us. But instead…they sent it to Coppell again and then to Fort Worth again yesterday. I called the Groesbeck PO number and finally spoke to some woman with limited English who knew nothing about nothing. Tomorrow I will visit the Postmaster, in person.

If it was your package, I admit I’d be laughing….but it’s my package, and this ain’t funny anymore.

If Coppell can screw it up they most certainly will.

In my experience anything coming to DFW from Midway goes through Coppell which adds 3-5 days to the journey.
