I'm looking to buy a Savage 99 300 Savage. My dad had one that I shot as a kid and I'm not sure whatever happened to it. I was cleaning out some of his ammo and found a few boxes for the 300. Let me know if anyone has one before I turn to Gunbroker. Thank you

A month or more ago I was in Guns N More in Howe, Tx. and they had one. (903) 267-1091 is their number.
I am not affiliated with them, just stop in every so often. Good shop. Maybe they still have it.

I have an old 300 I bought about 30 years ago. According to the serial number it was manufactured in 1938. The brass round counter still works as it should, It shoots great, smooth action, but it’s just a safe queen. That looks identical to the 99 that was handed down to me from my grandfather. It's a 300 with the same forend and brass round counter. Shot many deer and pigs with it growing up. It's a keepsake and could never part with it. Nice rifle.
