Made a trip to pick up my mule and run dogs one more time. Had a changing of the guard late season. The 5yo pointer has started getting the points, and the 7 yo has been doing some great backing.
Pic is from yesterday morning, run 1 hour. One running covey not located, another running covey pinned down.

I am sure the birds are wearing track shoes
Hope you had a fun year

If it isn't white it is not a birddog.

Lying is lying. Don't bitch about one doing it and condone another. That's called hypocrisy.

With the amount of seed birds we have left on our place, and If we can get the rains we got last year, next season will be a season to remember!

Makes me smile. Thanks for sharing ‘68. Been working through some stuff that slowed me down considerably this year. I’ve been restricted to following along what the other bird hunters have been up to a good portion of this season. Hopefully we get timely rain for a second consecutive spring/summer. With all the bust years we endure, one of those occasional boom years would be sweet. up
