It does look like one of the grand old NEs -- or possibly something like a .577/500 No. 2 Westley Richards??? Whatever it is, the coolness factor is off the charts.

Well, they look too large, but you would blow out straight-cased versions to form the shoulders on .44-90 or .45-100 Remington.

Those Sharps rifles are wonderful fun to load for and shoot. Which reminds me I need to finish the stock and mount the Vernier tang sight on my Swedish rolling block rebarrelled to .44-77. Bison roamed this part of Texas, the Rolling Plains.
