Scimitar Horned Oryx Cow Hunt 5 Available April or May time frame, rifle only. Between Sonora & Del Rio Texas. 2 to 3 Day hunt depending on how many people. Offsite lodging and meals provided, guided with skinning and quartering. Several large herds on the ranch, yes this is low fence. Hunt safari style, spot & stalk and from vantage points. Cows will average 33" to 37" in length. They make great table fair and mounts. If seen an Axis buck can be added on for $3,000. I do not have any broken horn oryx at this time or bulls we want to take. Cost $1500 Per hunter base hunt fee + $2500 kill/wound fee so $4,000 total. Mike 915-328-0645

I’ve been on this hunt with Mike before. During that bad freeze few years back. Even with that miserable weather it was a good time. Even cows make an impressive european mount. If the world found out how delicious an Oryx was they would be endangered. Thats one delicious A animal and im not a huge fan of most game meats.

If the world found out how delicious an Oryx was they would be endangered. Thats one delicious A animal and im not a huge fan of most game meats. It's past endangered in its native area From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Scimitar oryx The scimitar oryx (Oryx dammah), also known as the scimitar-horned oryx and the Sahara oryx, is an Oryx species that was once widespread across North Africa. In 2000, it was declared extinct in the wild on the IUCN Red List. This particular oryx is adapted to harsh desert conditions and can survive for months or even years without drinking water. A grazing animal, it derives most of its daily moisture intake from plants. The decline of the scimitar oryx population began as a result of climate change during the Neolithic period, and later it was hunted extensively for its horns. Today, it is bred in captivity in special reserves in Tunisia, Morocco, and Senegal, and on private exotic animal ranches in the Texas Hill Country. In 2016, a reintroduction program was launched and currently a small herd has been successfully reintroduced in Chad.
