Did you guys hunt the rice field along Hwy 365? ... that field was full of rice last Sat.

Man, I had every intention of going after resident geese this morning, but they just were not to be found anywhere around the area I scouted last weekend, same place I did find them last year. Unfortunately when I knew where they were last September, I ended up in Colorado hunting Grouse instead.
Well I guess that is really not that unfortunate.

Hey a good day yesterday. Got a 4 man limit in 30 minutes!!

I've not been on many hunts, so by far this was the best and will certainly be one for the memory books.

Went out with Austin & Paul Saturday morning for a little Teal action. Fairly cool with a slight rain, pretty ideal conditions for a Texas Teal opener. We managed to bag 4 blue wings. In my opinion, this was a small victory due to the lack of birds in the area. Did some scouting afterwords which resulted in some potential good hunts for later in the season.

Water levels changed and pushed my blind about 60 yrds from my hole. Which meant i only got the chance to shoot one. I had to hunker down in the open.

Whats everybodys thoughts on hunting them in the afternoon? My hunting buddy couldn't get out this morning so we are thinking about chasing them this afternoon. We hunt a pond with a creek that flows in from the north end.
