Should they be allowed to retaliate against those that expose their unlawful behavior? Is it acceptable for law enforcement officers to ignore a judge’s unlawful acts? What are your thoughts?

No one should be above the law.

No need to waste 18 minutes on that video. Just refer to that goofy liberal judge presiding over Trump's problems.

Too long of a video for me. If have a written version, I would answer your questions.

The judge was filmed, multiple times, drinking quite a bit at her local bar. She was there with her grandson and left with him to drive him and herself home. The cops were notified and did nothing. When she was confronted, she threatened to retaliate.

Sounds like a smaller city or county. We would put a judge in jail with no issues. We were protected by Civil Service though.

I believe it. What’s Civil Service, and how did it protect y’all?

This is in Tulsa, I believe.

That’s not particularly a new phenomenon. I’d wager centuries, maybe a millennium.

To be determined

Civil Service (The Texas Government Code) is like the constitution but for police officers and firefighters. It has several sections but one is that if an officer is disciplined, a hearing examiner can overturn it including termination. The requirement for an agency is population of the city. We had a judge that everyone hated and she would park a moped on the sidewalk unlawfully. We chained it to a no parking sign with a 3/8 chain.

Our County Judge gives no thought to legalities. He is KING. No repercussions.

Any father in Texas who has been through a divorce will no longer believe that justice is blind or have respect for the legal system.

There are two sides to it, criminal and civil. 99% of the time I was pleased with the criminal side. The civil side can be all over the place. Fair and right may not have a thing to do with the civil side either.

There's small town America, then there's Bridgeport, Texas. A weird little world all of it's own making.

Our Congress and President are in charge of a lot of law enforcement.

Let that sink in

One of our judges screwed up and got a DWI. She got some courtesy and never got a case. I was mad for a while but she squared herself away and went on to be successful. Not suggesting it was right or fair, but I do think about it every time I read on here from someone getting deferred adjudication for a felony and still being able to possess a firearm.

I had the pleasure of banning a judge from a liquor store because of unwanted advances he made toward the staff and when he didn't get a hug pulled a pocket knife out of his pocket and told them "I'm a judge". When I banned him, he worked me up one side and down the other. Stood my ground. The owner/staff didn't want to file charges, just have him banned. He was 83 and still issued warrants and has the beginnings of dementia. That alone is a scary thought. I contacted another judge and asked what could be done, she was able to get the ball rolling to get him relieved of his duties.
