It's gone, just enjoy the good stuff you already have.

I just listen to whatever sounds okay. Every generation says their country music is real country music. I haven’t seen anyone on here talking about the artists from the 1920’s. Yet…

Yup. These days I just wear out the classic stations or whatever is on my USB. They don't make 'em like this anymore.

I can find country all through the years that I thoroughly enjoy, with every decade. But some of the acts are a bit much. Within any genre is acts you will like and most you may not. I kinda like ol Jelly because he has soul and sings about real life. It you have real lyrics I tend to get into that.

I like the old country, we have had Tommy Hooker play at a few of our parties. My wife and her side kick play "dead people" country from the 1920's up. Do you get 89.1 down that way?
Right or Wrong is actually a 1920's jazz tune

Right or Wrong is actually a 1920's jazz tune Before that is was Appalation, Cajun, various others mixed in and sometime back, a caveman hitting a turtle shell with a stick. That's my original point. Anyone claiming their country music is real, original country music, is just kidding themselves.

Whenever people complain about country not being “country” anymore, I remind them at one time, these two gents were the face of country music. Real rough stock these two guys were, could rope and ride and tease hair with the best of them…
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Been absolute trash for 10+ years now. Once the George’s stopped putting out new music and the pop stuff took over, I bailed over to Classic Country.

A handful of new songs I like, but nothing beats Waylon,Hank Jr,Merle or King George.

Saw George Jones and Conway along with Statler Brothers back in late eighties/early nineties. Jones sang for about an hour then said,”eff Conway, I’m gonna sing all night!”
