It'll will freeze a few more times, hopefully not too bad. Sandhills flew over a couple of weeks ago, frogs singing and in the pool already, still waiting on the mesquites.

My bees think it's around the corner, fruit trees showing wrapped buds. Wild plums also have tight buds yet, my almonds will bloom today or by Friday but they are usually stupid anyway.

Doesn't all matter to me though, I will wake up one morning and it will be hot degrees, how it usually goes around here, a couple days of Spring type weather and BAM!! Heat!

What's your average high temps up there? Do you miss living down here?

All this week in the low/mid 40's with lows in the 30's. Lack of snow has many worried about the lake level and wildfire season.

I do not miss the traffic, crowds, people not speaking English, etc. I do miss my friends and definitely miss kolaches, good BBQ and HEB.

Up here, Famous Dave's is considered bbq. 5 different grocery store brands and none come close to HEB.

But every morning I get to go outside and see mountains, that is very nice plus I get to go ice fishing every weekend. up

Yep. This is Indian summer. Elm trees have already opened their buds. Red Maple and Red Bud trees about to flower. Pine pollen about two weeks from starting to fly. Then the Pear and Peach trees will bloom and a spring cold snap will knock the blooms off them.

Good to hear you're doing well and enjoying it up there. Less traffic and crowds was the main reason we moved to Lindale. Now if I could just have your weather, it would be perfect.

The ground here is not very warm yet. Might be a bit for our blooms.
