Had a dream last night where I saw my grandfather (died in 2008). Walked up to him and gave him a big hug and started crying, couldn't let go of him. He asked me why I was crying but I couldn't answer. He said to me "you're just tired boy". Dogs barked and I woke up at 630 this morning. Dream was very vivid and I recall every detail of it but I didn't think much of it for the rest of the day.
Anyway, my daughter only got about 2 hours of sleep lastnight because she had a sleepover and stayed up til 5am. She was in the kitchen a little bit ago balling her eyes out. I put my arms around her and said "you're just tired" and then thise words came back in my head.

I thought it was pretty freaky. My wife said I'm just a sap. confused2

Sometimes our loved ones will come to us in our dreams.

Yeah, a little bit, but dreams are powerful and an integral part of our health. The whole thing makes sense to me, but I’ve always been fascinated with dreams, and I’ve studied them quite a bit.

I have lucid dreams at times, hard to tll it wasn't physical, but most of the time they have a given message from God and it often takes some time later that they become relevant. It has been very helpful to me or another that I need to share them with. Many times I just want to go back to the dream because there is more peace and less turmoil than the world offers.

Lucid dreaming is the best. It’s always been random for me. No spritual messages. I’ve learned to do it on purpose, in the right setting, so I do it often.

Not spooky at all

Certainly dreams can have a message.

My grandfather was down to his last few days on earth. All of his children (7 of them) from all over the country had come to say their last goodbyes, except one, my mom’s sister, my aunt. Due to her own health problems she could not make it.
On my grandfather’s final night my mom was with him as he passed, within minutes my mom received a call from her sister. Her sister just had a dream so vivid that it woke her up. She had dreamed that their dad came and told her goodbye.
My mom shared the story with the doctor at the hospice. He said they often have someone that should have passed on but they seem to hold on till that last goodbye from a loved one. I think God gave grandpa a chance to say goodbye.

Sounds like a relatively pleasant dream to me. Be thankful they aren’t vivid night terrors where you’re fighting for your life.

I don't know if others have experienced this or not, but when water touches my head, I will get flashes of my dreams. This will happen when I can't recall what I dreamt. But it has to be shortly after I wake up.

I hesitate a little to explain this cause yall may think im weird. I never heard of lucid dreams till a few years ago and apparently I had some. I no longer sleep real good but when I do I often will have one. Its real vivid but the difference is you seem to know you are dreaming and have some control over what is happening. Often there will be a situation where Im in trouble and I cant find my cell phone or I cant operate it properly. That scenario happens often enough and is unlikely enough that I have learned that when that is happening I know Im dreaming and if my situation isnt a good one then I can wake myself up.
Whether this is a good thing or a bad thing depends on whats going on in the dream.....

Flip that is not weird at all. I've had dreams like that over the years... few and far between. They are amazing gifts, I believe. Strong Christian here.

Free range I agree about those types of dreams where you can control things. Those are also few and far between. Very cool experiences there.

I recently had a dream i took as a direct message from God. Very clear messaging and it was very pertinent to the issues surrounding my life.

I have many other dreams that are just dreams.

Have had a recurrent theme in some dreams where i am a student or have some project due and am
Totally ill prepared for the finish. That usually surrounds some sort of major life decision or something.

Dreams can be cool. Love the lucid dreams where i know i am dreaming and have some control in it…vivid dreams are not uncommon for me either, they typically confuse me if that actually happened and i wake with a few moments of confusion, but never in a bad way.

I have always had crazy dreams about stuff that makes no sense at all but then at some point the next day something will happen and I think to myself "damn I just dreamed that". Me and a friend of mine had a conversation about odd dreams many years ago and I told him that in alot of cases my dreams have some sort of meaning if not a down right prediction of future events. He didnt believe me and he told me to be sure and remember my dreams and he was going to ask me about them the next day and see if they come true.

That next morning as we were hooking up the boat to go to Lake Fork he asked me what my dreams were. I told him that I could only remember one of them but it was about Hybrid fishing which we both quickly dismissed since Lake Fork does not even have Hybrids in it. Around lunch time we beached the boat and walked up to Axtons Bass City to eat lunch. As we were finishing up our lunch some guys next to us that were from out of state struck up a conversation with us and asked us where the best place on the lake to find Hybrids was. We both told them that Fork did not have any Hybrids and they would be better off heading a few miles west to Lake Tawakoni. As we were walking back to the boat I kept waiting for him to connect the dots between my Hybrid dream I told him about and that conversation we just had. It never crossed his mind until I mentioned it to him and he just stopped in his tracks and then accused me of setting the whole thing up. roflmao
