Hate the vehicles (mainly trucks) that have multiple (4 or more) high powered low/regular beam lights on at the same time that is so blinding you think they have their brights on but don't.
Do not like having to many laws but there should be one that only allows x amount of brightness on low/regular beam headlights.

I dare someone to bright me when I have the low beams on, GAME ON SUCKA!

Tolerance is the virtue of a man without conviction.

The end of the world began the day it was created, and life is a sexually transmitted terminal disease.

If they are flashing you, it’s because they think your hi beams are already on which is MOST LIKELY because your lights are shooting too high and too damn bright already. Adjust your lights to a proper level and it won’t be an issue. Don’t be a dick.

Yeah, pretty much. Anymore, I just turn my high beams on and leave them on. I don’t care if they have their brights on or not. I don’t even care if they turn their high beams off, if that were the case. It’s all out bright light war, at this point. And I’m very conservative about determining when bright is too bright. I don’t flash people for nothing. But when I can’t see because your lights are blinding me, then I’m giving what I get.

I was on a two lane highway way out in the country one morning before the sun came up. I was driving and my lights were on low. Truck was passing me and he flashed his lights. I hit him with the high beams and was very satisfied with my self, until he revealed that he had a front grille full of LED light bars.

Lit me up so bright I saw the future.

I appreciate the message, but that song sucks so bad I can’t explain it. I hope that’s a parody, and I just didn’t catch onto it.

Time to ramp things up and defend yourself with some proper lightage.

Do not like having to many laws but there should be one that only allows x amount of brightness on low/regular beam headlights.

This has been the law since the late 1950s. Look at your headlight assembly and it will have a DOT number on it.

Could you elaborate on that, please? I’m genuinely curious, because I’ve had enough of bright lights. I don’t hate you like everyone else.

Hated? Funny; I have never felt hated.

This guy has a bunch of info on automotive lighting.

https://www.danielsternlighting.com/

Basicly there isn't a single part on your car that doesn't have hundreds of pages of federal regulations written about it including the lighting. As mentioned earlier in this post the majority of lighting issues that cause problems for other drivers is the headlights not being aimed properly. I'm a bit of a freak about that and use an old school Hoppy headlight aiming system. My daily driven work truck gets loaded down quite a bit and that makes my headlights aim higher. The compensate for this I got some upgraded coil springs for the rear that were 40% stiffer than the factory Springs and also had a 1 in longer free length. I trimed the springs a small piece at a time until I got to my desired ride height with the load that I typically carry and then I re aimed the headlights. HID or high output LED lights can also cause a whole bunch of glare if there is dirt on the lens. In Europe cars equipped with either of these style of headlights are required to have a washing and wiping system on the headlight assemblies to limit the amount of glare that on coming driver's experience.

I had a dick like that once. I gave him a quick flash as his lights were very bright. Instead of the courtesy dimming or return flash, he turned on his grill and upper lights (back in the day of the big round KC lights). The dumb [censored] never considered that I could have been a cop, and I wasn't, but the car behind me was. I smiled and drove on, as the flashy lights came on and turned the other direction.

I don't mind being flashed, and I'll give a courtesy flash back, but there is a large % of people that have their brights on all the time. I've been driving hwy a lot at night the last three years. Sometimes it's 1/3 in a 20-30 car stretch. I think some of them think that if you're on a divided hwy you don't have to dim, as I have seared a few eyeballs on 84/20 and they never dim for some reason. I asked a HiPo and he said that doesn't matter, you always dim for oncoming traffic. Having been a car guy for a long time, I can usually tell you what vehicle it is by the lights, and whether their brights are on.

The new LEDs are aimed low, but if they're cresting a hill and aimed up a bit, they can appear to be on bright until they level out.

I recently bought a narrow beam spotlight for those that I either can't flash or really need to sear. Yep, it pisses me off that much. Maybe I'm the psycho!

My wife`s Honda has headlights that will dim automatically when another vehicle is detected. It is pretty quick about it also. They will also go back onto bright after vehicle passes and no other vehicles behind it.

My 2003 Dodge 2500 headlights are left on bright 100% of the time and no one ever blinks their high beams at me. I need to replace the whole assembly, so the lenses are clear, and my high beams are good enough to spot deer and hogs in the bar ditch coming home from deer lease.

Yeah I need to adjust the height on my Jeep's headlights. I replaced the factory halogens with LED's last year and I get flashed some even when they're on low. But man, they are nice in the pasture at night! They really light things up even without an external light bar.
