Can any members give me any independent reviews of the Freq Ultrasonic Game call?

Disclosure: I first began hunting with a home-made varmint call over 50 years ago.

I still have my first rifle, a 243, that I bought 52 years ago. I sat with that rifle so much in deer blinds that have I forever memorized it's serial number.

Almost 50 years ago, in 1975, I personally met Murray Burnham. I had a red covered book that he signed for me.

30 years ago, I personally met Mr. Gary Roberson. At a big hunting show somewhere in Texas.

One year ago I was diagnosed with cancer. Given an 80% chance of living. All I heard was a 20% chance of dying. I am still alive.

I am considering buying the Freq.

I give you all of the above so that you know that I have respect and admiration for both Mr. Roberson and for the Burnham families. (and so you know that I am old.)

Feel free to send me a private message on this forum.

I am truly interested in:

Will the Freq call in coyotes or bobcats that have been educated by other electronic calls?

If you crow hunt, is the Freq any different, any better, at calling crows than a traditional electronic crow call?

Effective range between the remote unit and the Freq caller?

Is it worth the cost?

Overall experience?

Any other useful information?

God Bless,

Dale

I took it out for the 1st time this past weekend. I was looking for coyotes, but got this fox to respond. The caller was approximately 75 yards away, no issue with the remote at that distance. Turn up the volume and you can hear it start at the :27 mark. The fox gets right up next to the Freq.

I was a buyer of the FREQ at $800 as originally thought, but I can’t swing $2000 for a toy. That being said, the be crow hunted a lot, most important thing besides a loud caller is good decoys and the ability to quickly switch to dying crow to pull the murder back in

yea sounded like something i would purchase originally but not gonna happen unfortunately. Don't get to go enough to justify that kind of money.

Called a coyote and a javelina in, first time I used it.

Im still trying to figure out which sounds work best, happy so far but ive only used it for about 3 hours.

Theyre spendy, but a couple of coyotes can easily kill a couple of nice deer.

What call did you use for the yote? I'm still experimenting as well.

I was playing with all the rabbit sounds. I was using the loud distress ones, didnt have much time so I was looking for the more aggressive animals.
