They have a good shot at going deep into the playoffs if they can stay healthy. It’s been a great year thus far I’m betting on it. Laid a Benjamin on them to win the cup when I was in Vegas earlier this year.

Since the Mav's have tanked. Maybe the Stars can bring another Championship to the area.

Since the Mav's have tanked. Maybe the Stars can bring another Championship to the area. Mavs are on a 4 game winning streak and just picked up 2 significant players via trade on Thursday. Also, practically the first time all season long that the whole core (minus Lively) are healthy at the same time.

The Stars will never lift the cup as long as Jaime Benn is captain. I’ve disliked him for years for being a super talented head case that disappears when things get tough. He lacks resiliency. Last year’s playoffs didn’t help him change that narrative.

The reason they won’t win this year is because Nill didn’t buy out Suter and get some young tough D men to compliment Miro and Harley. He has 2 kids at Cedar Park that are better than 50% of his forwards but he tied his hands by signing the guys he signed in Free Agency last year so until the trade deadline has passed we won’t know what kind of team they have or where they fit in until after other teams make their trade deadline deals.

I don't watch much hockey, but those long term Seguin and Benn contracts are certainly hindering Dallas. Benn is signed through next season and Seguin is signed through 2027. Combined salary cap hit is ~$20mm per year (~23% of the total team) and neither of them have much of an offensive impact anymore. Seguin is 64th in scoring and Benn is 137th.

Is there any other way to watch games if they're on Bally? We just switched to Youtube TV and they don't have it. Also saw Amazon purchased Bally so I wonder if eventually they'll all be on Prime.

The Stars are 1 of 11 NHL teams whose local broadcasts will remain on Bally Sports through the end of this season. The local rights for those 11 franchises will revert back to the NHL at the end of this season.
