Anyone have one? I’ve always thought they look cool. I’m not an off road guy, unless it’s necessary.

I would consider getting rid of my Tundra.

I think they stopped making them in 2014 so any on the market are now at least 10 years old. Future parts availability would be a concern for me.

They were great but are now 10 years old and not the most comfortable rides.

I would not get rid of a tundra to get into a 10 year old at best FJ

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I think they look cool, but I've never actually been in one. By most accounts, they have terrible gas mileage and you'd be missing some creature comforts that didn't exist back when the FJ was produced. I certainly wouldn't make that my daily driver, but more as a 2nd vehicle or hunting vehicle.

Wanted one for a long time but they weren’t practical for me. Now that they’ve been discontinued for a decade, I wouldn’t get one.

I think you would regret getting rid of your Tundra for anything other than another truck.

We had a 2010 for about 4 years. Fun to drive but they had a really bad blind spot. i think they were still making them for middle east counties up to 2021 or 2022.

I had one for a few years. It was a great vehicle, but no room and like said, a bad blind spot. They held their value so well that when I traded it for a Jeep I think I ended up driving the FJ for nearly free.

I bet if you find a good one without a million miles it will be so high you might look at something else.

The oldest GS has one. About 300,000 miles so far. He loves it, but I much prefer my Tundra.

I was thinking about parts too. But think they still sell them other places, just not here

As far as a 4Runner. We had one for years. No complaints with 4 runner.

Bring-A-Trailer often has used FJ's for auction. Some are very low mileage but they will command premium $$$.

I have a good friend that has one. He loves it. He bought it maybe 2-3 years ago. It had low miles and he does not drive it much. It was pricey but like mentioned, they do hold their value really well. He tows it as opposed to driving it on trips.

Same underpinnings as a 4Runner and very durable. Has terrible blind spots.

Parts won't be a problem, I still buy brand new Toyota parts from Toyota whenever I need them for my mid 90s land cruiser. Occasionally I come across some that are discontinued but that is not very often.

I did check a couple of parts, out of curiosity.
FJ water pump is about same as a Tundra. Alternator same price as tundra.

We bought our son a 2013 FJ for his first vehicle. He drove it through high school and for his first year of college. We haven’t had to fix a single thing on it. It has around 170k miles on it now. Last fall he upgraded to a new tundra. We still have the FJ but it just sits. Not really sure what to do with it. I like it and think it is cool and don’t really want to sell it but we have 7 vehicles.

Upgrade your Tundra to a TRD Pro Tundra, awesome vechile. I looked at the FJ but they have a Cult following and are overpriced for that age. Big blind spot got on my nerves also. New Tundra with I Force Max engine has 437 HP and is sporty and quick with coil springs and about 3" more suspension travel!!!
