Got this recently and it was non-functioning and a bit ugly.

Complete disassembly, had to replace a couple parts, blasted it, cerakoted, and reassembled and running flawlessly.

I have never understood what makes these plastic rifles cost so much but I'm glad you fixed it.

Pass the gravy.

Another outstanding resurrection...well done, Sir! Does my feeble brain recall correctly that that is the "Mohawk Brown" stock option? "Apache Black" had a nickeled-ish receiver cover, I think...

You get extra points from me for "complete disassembly" of ANY Nylon 66! The gun shop where I worked in the '70s would occasionally have someone bring in their Nylon 66 and a shoebox of the parts they'd been able to find after they pulled the receiver cover off!

Thats a nice gun. I passed my Black Diamond Apache down to my son. He's the third generation to own it. Still looks and works like new.

Back around '85 or '86 a guy that I worked with had one that wouldn't cycle or fire at all. He was just going to toss it in a dumpster. I took it home and took a good look at it.
The whole thing was just all gunked up. I soaked the receiver and action in Hoppes #9 and ran a copper brush down the barrel and magazine tube.
Got the action to work but it still wouldn't fire. I don't remember where, or how, but I got a copy of the manual for it and took it apart and really cleaned up the firing pin assembly.
Put it all back together and it worked. Only problem was that it was a gunpowder residue and dirt sponge. It would gum up after about 30 rounds and need a full strip down and cleaning.

I finally got tired of it and took it apart and tossed all the parts in the trash.
