The road into the range will be muddy tomorrow so when you come in the main gate go straight all the way back to the white gate. Go through it and take a left and follow the green cones up over the top of the hill to the 500-yard berm and then take a hard right and follow the road all the way up to the benches.

Well, how'd the match go? Who won?

I shot a blazing 10 and left early with my tail tucked between my legs.
Weather was nice and wind picked up later in the morning. 10 o'clock start time was perfect for this time of year.

Angus , I haven’t been before so help me understand…for a “10” how many times did you actually hit the target ?

I hit ten times.

Here's how the match is ran.
You shoot 2 10 round heats at 3 targets. You have 4 minutes to shoot your 10 rounds (that's a lot of time). Targets are 8" =1 points, 6" =2 points and 3" = 3 point. At the end of each heat your spotter added up your score. At the end of both heats they take the top 8 shooters and do a single elimination shootoff for the winner.
They pay the top 3 places.

Come shoot in March at the next match.

It was a good match Today we had several new shooters and Jimmy's. 14-year-old son came and shot today and made it into the Great 8. He did pretty good. The wind was at our 6:00 and fishtailing so it made for an interesting match.
