Shopping tires is crazy, just so many options. I need an all terrain for going around the farm in wet ground, want good handling on wet road, 40k miles, low road noise, and look good on a 1/2 ton truck.so far im leaning towards these

How well do those steel belts grip the pavement?

If you like dry rot go Nitto.

Both kids have sets on their trucks, they look good and ride/grip well, but dry rot has been an issue on every set I’ve had

Same tires now have 84,000 miles on them. Still a little noisy, still good.

According to 90% of the drivers in Dallas, pretty damn well.

On my 2nd set of Toyo RT on lifted F150 18s. Never had a problem in mud, W. TX red dust or wet slime, or wet pavement. Key is Rotate every 5K max.

Have Mastercrafts on my lifted Jeep 37K with lots of tread left but they are 2016 tires. Fine for around the house but not sure about upcoming summery trip to CO. So will be looking for a new set of something early summer.

Not quite to the belts, just now at the wear indicators. Time to pony up for a new set...

IMO you cannot beat a Mastercraft Tire for most of our uses. I'm not just saying this because I was an owner/operator of a tire & wheel business that primarily sold Mastercraft Tires....I'm saying this because I always tried to pay attention to what I learned with my own hands about many brands vs the internet.

I love Mastercraft tires for a reason.

I've been running Nitto Mudders & All Terrains for a while and I've been happy with them, but I'm ready to go back to Mastercraft. Cooper makes some good tires, as long as they are American made.

Good to know. I've had zero complaints out of my Mastercraft M/T. Yea they are noisy on 16 Wrangler Sport but that just covers the normal rattles. Learned to disregard phone calls when on the hwy.

Michelin Defenders are the quietest I have ever used. 296\65\20. Do not do much off road but do tow a lot.

I am considering TOYO Country A/T 37/12.5/20 when these wear out on my current ride. Worried they might be too loud though, since I spend a lot of windshield time on my phone.

They are noisy but TUFF! I don't mind the noise.

I use my tires offroad on the regular. My Mastercraft mudders were louder but fewer patch jobs. They remind me of Maxxis Mudders. Loud/Rough/tuff.

Mastercraft passenger car tires were smooth and dependable. If you actually take care of them (most folks don't) you can get a lot of care free miles out of them.

Think I'm down to a Cooper tire. Either the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S or the new Cooper Discoverer Road and Trail.

Haven’t been disappointed in my coopers. I generally by the cheapest name brand tire in the size and tread I’m looking for. I’ve used Goodyear, Bridgestone, continental, cooper, BFG, Michelin, uniroyal, pireli and maybe some others. Never been disappointed as long as I matched them to what they were going on and I kept them inflated and half azz rotated.

This was almost 1 year ago and 27,000 miles less than what I have now.

These tires now have 69,000 miles.
