I'm looking for goose guide recommendations for the Eagle Lake/El Campo Area for next season. I used Clifton Tyler several times 20ish years ago but I can't tell if he is still in business or not.

Tough place to hunt these days, not near the geese that there was 20 years ago.

Jake Huddleston is who I'd recommend in the area.

I heard something about that. Wasn't sure it was true or not. I'm open to recommendations for a better area.

Muddy Waters in the Wichita Falls area.

I also used to hunt with Clifton Tyler years ago. Unfortunately Clifton passed away awhile back. Got no good recommendations, the goose hunting down there has declined significantly.

Those 20ish years ago goose numbers are long gone in that whole area. I have no recommendations for the area and wouldn't even consider traveling any great distance to hunt that area.

Ditto! If you don't know the outfitter I would be very leery of big claims. Very hit and miss nowadays.

Thanks for the info guys! I have had pretty good luck up around Dumas in the Panhandle before but that is a pretty long drive. I may need to checkout the guides around the Wichita Falls area as suggested.

I would love to get up to Stuttgart again! Awesome place for waterfowl. I'm probably going to need to find a place in Texas due to logistics and licensing requirements for the size and experience level of group I'm putting this together for. It's a pain to make sure all the guys have the correct license endorsements and duck stamps and know the regulations for Texas, and I'm pretty competent with that stuff. Not sure i want to deal with out of state requirements I am less familiar with.

B Razorback, My daughter just graduated from The University of Arkansas so I am a fan of the Hogs now!

Very nice! I graduated from there back in 2019! Hope you're not a Arkansas sports fan because there's not much happiness to it lol

There are some good outfits in the panhandle, going to be mostly Canada and specks with some white geese mixed in.

Check out tule creek outfitters.

Rumor has it the speck limit will be increasing from 2 birds to 5 birds in the next season or two.
