LAX, then Atlanta, 3rd is SeaTac. SeaTac is now little Africa.

I would add Denver. This is the only airport I’ve seen that routes all terminal departures through one security area. Absolutely asinine. Not to mention all the purple haired he/she’s walking around aimlessly. Many with children in tow.

Columbia SC, Montgomery AL and Midland TX are our favorites.... ez ez ez.

Flew into Philly around 2am coming back from Desert Storm in 91. Had to walk probably over a mile to find the one and only food place open.

O’Hare sucks balls. Hartsfield is not far behind. I’ve got millions of miles of experience voting here. Will be interesting to hear what Turkey Hunter thinks.

I can’t believe that I left São Paulo off the list of bad airports. Only flew out of there once and it was maybe 15 years ago, but the security line was at least a quarter mile long. If they hadn’t held the plane far a bunch of folks like me, I’d never have made the flight. Other than that, it looked Ok. And Quito Ecuador was tough to fly out of, unless you were in first class, but that was a long time ago too.

San Jaun PR. Been all over. Only place i have seen where ya have to shrink your luggage to keep folks from stealing your stuff.

Frankfurt Germany was awful.

I don't have the experience that a lot of you do, but I'll throw in another vote for LAX. I can't say I hate it, but it's definitely my least favorite.

I agree with Frankfurt Germany being awful. They questioned the wife and myself for about 15 minutes. They just asked a few questions of the Burka wearing folks and let them right on thru. I guess us being Americans was the problem.
The worst one in the US for us has been JFK. The taxi out to the runway was over 20 minutes and they were saying the delay might keep us from taking off.

Laguardia

Miami is worst for luggage and well known for disappearance (in total or items within).
LAX! Too many other airports around that region to choose from so avoid it at all costs unless just no other option.

One of the airports there are several in Moscow Russia, worst airport hands down!!

Tiny, old, and very spartan.

You want tiny and old, fly into St Eustacious. It’s a Dutch protectorate. My barn is bigger than that airport. When we flew in from St Thomas (to visit a crude oil tank farm), we produced our passports, but were told that “the customs guy is up on the hill with his GF”. The customs guy was also the guy that sold soft drinks and snacks in the building. Multitasker.

The people at the tank farm were ‘island crazy’ after a few years there.

The best airport in Socal is Ontario.....that is, if you HAVE to go there.

I have flown into Miami a few times , then wised up and started using Ft Lauderdale. If you are renting a car and driving to the Keys ,
the drive is a little longer , but well worth it.

Been around the world a lot in the past 35 traveling years and have seen improvement with a lot of airports. Usually just go with the flow and take it easy while traveling.

I generally avoid Chicago O'Hare as much as possible. There's a lot of flights from DFW to Latin America so I'll pick that over Miami if possible. Always referred to it as the Miami Zoo.

Been in and out of Frankfurt, Germany on American many times and never an issue. Usually always stayed the night before in that Sheraton in the airport.

Just went through LAX on the way to Australia and back. It was much better and no issues. Nice lounge as well.

DFW works pretty darn well. But usually I'm connecting to go through there now if it's on my route.

Denver only because I seem to always land at gate 4 and have to walk to gate 83.

The Finns do that as well in addition everyone takes their shoes off after taking off. Different customs.

Sao Paulo and Quito are much better. They built a new airport in Quito.
