Couple of weeks ago my youngest said he wanted some meat so I decided to get the crossbow out and go sit in a ladder stand and see what showed. After an hour or so several does and fawns came in, then three antlered bucks. And then the turkeys came running up and scattered the deer. Few minutes later this spike came in and was pretty skittish with the turkeys and kept trotting off then coming back. He finally got broadside at 25 yards and I got the shot off. He ran about 50 yards, stopped, then wobbled and took off again. Gave him a while and found him 25 yards farther piled up.
He’s ground up and in the freezer and ready to go to my son’s house soon.
Shot a couple of hogs with it but first deer with the crossbow. It works pretty well.
