I've had the Tipton Best Gun Vise for about 10 years...$60 back then.

Me too but they suk for cleaning a chassis rifle. Thinking about getting one of these Real Avid ones checking to see if anyone is using one before I become a Guinee pig.

That leveling knob is a good idea.

Buy new toys calls for buying more new toys! Will this be sold with the rifle so the new owner doesn't need to buy one?
scratch juggle cheers

More importantly, when will it show up in the classifieds here?

Don't need it. I've got a Tipton Best and rarely use it.

Bipod on the stock, lega bumped to a piece of steel clamped to the bench.

If it's more serious than that, I can chuck the barrel, action or bolt in a machinist vise that's attached to a thousand pound table.

I just use my rest if I need a vice, which I rarely do.

I just set mine on bags on the coffee table. To hold steady and level, mounting a scope or etc, I just throw a small ratchet strap around the whole table to secure the rifle.

Mine is homely as heck but I built it for a few bucks many years ago and it has served perfectly well.
