and now it is gone? Used a screwdriver not over 30 minutes ago and go to use it again and I can’t find it. Backtracked my steps once already and getting ready to do it again.

I lost my cordless drill months ago and gave up looking for it. I finally found it while cleaning - I left it on top of the cabinets when I was installing a new light fixture.

When I worked on cars for a living I bought screw drivers and ratchets that had bright orange handles so I wouldn't accidentally leave one under the hood.

I lose (misplace) stuff all the time, and like RedRanger I often walk into a room and wonder what I was doing in there. I put it down to having a nearly full brain. There’s a lot of stuff in there, most of which is obsolete or just out of date.

Check your pants pockets, lost many a tool in the back pocket of my jeans, until I sit down.

Two damn close to reality...

I've re-found my favorite pocket knife three time this year. All I have to do is buy a replacement, and bam.. it show's right back up like a bad penny.

All the time. I know very well that "Crap, where is it, I just had it" feeling. Things like screwdrivers, hammers, tape measures, and marking pencils especially. I ended up buying several extras of the usual stuff. If I am doing a project and one goes poof, rather than wasting time walking around trying to find it, I just go into the shop and grab another one and let the lost one turn up later. Even if doing a construction project away from home, I will throw extras in a bucket to have in the truck. I did a partial siding replacement on a lake house a few months ago. I think I had 4 hammers and 3 tape measures laying around to gather up when I was done.

I looked for my keys for an hour one day and gave up. I was getting dressed in a bit and found that my magnetic groove belt betrayed me by stealing them from my pocket.

When we moved I lost my 2" finish nailer and could not figure out where it was. We still had boxes to unpack and it was in the wife's office in a box marked Picture Frames. hammer

Changed the coolant in my truck the other day and unlike when I change my oil I had to remove a skid plate which is the only reason I found a really nice magnetic light that had to be left there when a shop changed my A/C compressor four years ago. Was wondering if he's still scratching his head about where he lost it.

Space, its called getting old and I know first hand. Space, check out my thread about the 02 GMC in OT and let me know what its worth. I know youre a car guy.
That Alexa thing I had seen before and that and the crazy hot matrix are worth rewatching regularly. Almost impossible to make me laugh out loud but they both do, everytime.

I’ve lost my gloves at least 4 times in the last week, very frustrating.
