It's been over 10 days since I have had a deer on camera. I only hunt 26 acres but still this is unusual compared to the last 8-9 months. Anyone experiencing this as well. I'm in navarro co.

I don't know what is happening but I can guess. What has caused that in the past for me is my neighbors walk the fence line to see where the deer are crossing ...then feed in a way to bring those deer to their blind. So ..if you think this could've happened to you...ya might start feeding earlier and later than you have been and see what happens. Don't forget to use scent pads...no matter what you think about the rut...just do it anyway...ya will see a difference if ya put out about twenty around your blind. The earlier you feed ups your chances to see deer back. Use calls also..grunt and doe contact calls. Let us know if this has helped.

Food everywhere with no hard freeze in sight is the issue.

Same for us in Hamilton Co. Deer not coming to corn for last two weeks. Post rut and plenty for them to eat around with non-rotten acorns still on ground and winter fields coming up.

Where I hunt this time of the year the last of the fawns come in heat thus the last rut of the season. If ya look around you will probably fine rubs. I always find some during this time. I believe when the last doe is bred, the rest of the bucks will loose their horns...usually around March 15. Just what I have seen this time of year and every year the same.

Now that we’ve had some real cold weather, the deer have come out of hiding on this place. Mostly doe, but one young 4 point. They are hitting the feeders hard. Haven’t seen any of the larger bucks lately.

30-30, our pastures are full of new growth after those early Jan rains, I'm sure the hard freeze will hurt but there is green stuff everywhere now.

They're hammering my Mills county feeders, all sexes/ages. Had a buck show up yesterday on one camera that hadn't been seen in 5-6 weeks-I'd given him up for dead.

The hard freeze put a damper on the fall food that should have been gone many weeks ago. I had 20 deer in my feeder pen this morning.

After 3 weeks of getting skunked, they finally started moving yesterday evening. Had 3 bucks come running to the 12:15 feeding today: a small 8,a 6, and a large spike, which I took out. Hoping the wife finishes with a doe this evening.

There are kits to silence your feeder noise..ya can still hear it but only for a short distance..I think it's like a soft rubber coating. I like my feeders loud but you do get more activity around your areas. I have hunters hunting on the fence lines.

Weird weather and I guess the neighbors stopped feeding. 6 new bucks this week, 5 of which have never been on camera, and one that's been gone for nearly three months.

Same here. Even Pigs are scarce. Finally shot one tonight after 10 unsuccessful hunts.

You'd be "scarce" also if everyone was shooting at you for the past couple of months.
