Just be careful if you are using a heat lamp or some kind of space heater (electric or propane) during this cold snap we are having. I see reports of houses being burned down and people dying inside them every time we have severe cold weather due to not taking proper precautions or using things improperly. Better to be safe than sorry. Stay warm my friends.

I came close to a fire from a space heater in my old home because they back stabbed the outlets. Never even knew about it until that happened and folks on here diagnosed what went wrong from the pics I made.

And definitely DO NOT use an extension cord to power a space heater!

Know a guy that his house burned down due to heat lamp over a litter of pups. Pups knocked the Iight down, and it all went downhill after that.

My neighbors 2 year old house burned from a heat lamp for their cat that was outside on their patio (2018). Three years ago a co-workers brand new house burned for the same exact thing. I use a heat lamp for my cat that stays in my shop at night, but I secure it very good.

Hunt, fish, snowmobile, snow ski, sleds, inner tubs, normal stuff.
back in 70's had softball tournament's on frozen lakes,
& poker runs on motorcycles.

Archery hunt in texas @ OSBWMA slept in a 2man tent
with an old summer sleeping bag in 9° weather snow covered the tent.
Got up bang was driving my Suzuki Semerri , no top.
It was cold, went climbed in my self climbing stand.

Thus is the first year having troubles handling the cold Temps.
Knees are k-put. The cold didn't really set in till after hunting season ended.
Early Dec. went ice fishing 1 time on 3" ice. Next day open water.
Temps have dropped with the new year, my knees won't hold up
spending few hours on ice. Even @ work knees lock up.

But i gerontee will b out 🧊 🎣 before it thaws.

edit Jan - end of March was my favorite time of year for hog hunting @
OSBWMA. Any legal means. Dang near lived down thar.

Stay safe

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

Build homes/building where the plumbing is designed to handle it.
Basements are an important part of the design. So is gas/oil/wood heat.
