Been looking at them for a long time, on 4 reviews not a good sign. roflmao They need to get here soon with front hitting. My hands are about the only thing that gets cold, long boat ride in the teens is killer... I'll use these for snow sking as well on cold days...

Not a bad idea LOL. I gotta buddy that swears by these things. He puts them in his jacket pocket or down his glove. I might give them a try.

We used Midwest 330 PVC coated gloves with wool liner gloves inside while seaduck hunting in Maine last year, were very warm, just used the liner only while shooting on trigger hand - were only about $30

Man those look awesome. Just had a hunting trip for pheasant and deer in Nebraska that got canceled. Was definitely looking for something like this. High was supposed to be in the negative digits. No thanks.

Just got those gloves in yesterday and already disappointed lol, they are fleece on the outside too. I was hoping they would be hard shell (waterproof ideally) on the outside. They feel great though putting them on, and still might serve my purpose, I really wanted them for long cold boat rides... Maybe I can find a shell for them.

I might use those for the boat ride, and keep my waterproof gloves in blind bag with the those handwarmers in them for when get to my spot! Nothing better than some toasty gloves!! banana

get you a pair of the army surplus mittens and the wooll liner and drop that handwarmer in the big finger pocket and those boat rides are a little more tolerable

I bought the mittens that Hirogen on here recommended, after some bone-chilling rides on the back of a CanAm four-wheeler in Newfoundland with alders slapping everything that stuck out from behind my guide that was driving. I wanted to hug him, but thought he might misconstrue. shocked He loaned me his snowmobile mittens and they were a game-changer.

Yesterday morning I did take them out scouting, and it was damn cold on the water and they did keep my hands warm. But the charge did not last long, not sure exactly how long, maybe a few hours, and I had them on the lowest setting. I'm going to take them back. If they had an outer shell (and at least water resistant) I would probably keep them. If you are just sitting in a cold blind doing nothing for a few hours, they would be fine, but doing any type of work with them (unhitching a boat etc..) they would not hold up. I really do not take back much things like this I buy, but for the money, these gloves do not cut it, not for how I would use them. I also wanted to use them for snow skiing, and you do need water proof there.

Now what did work great were those hand warmer larry recommended. I could drop one in each of my Cabela's Extreme gore-tex gloves, on the lowest setting, and worked great. Probably not good for shooting, but everything else it does the trick. Just ordered another set, they will be here today. banana

I agree they saved our butts yesterday. Was 9 degrees with a good wind. We both got our hands wet, prolly putting out dekes, but seems unavoidable. I ended up using my light weight shooting gloves and holding on to the hand warmers in my jacket pocket. I got feeling back in just a few minutes. I'm not sure how I would use them in a layout blind tho since I wouldn't be able to keep my hands in my pocket. I suppose I'd try dropping them down a glove like you did.

For picking up dekes and the boat ride, I used some elbow length lined PVC gloves. Kept my hands toasty. Can't shoot with those big arse things on tho.
