Finally. Unfortunately, he already got his, while him and others stole the membership blind for almost three decades. Good riddance.

Let's not lose our minds here. grin

For now my money is going to Gunowners of America and the Firearms Police Coalition. These organizations get things done.

About 30 years to late. Is he going to pay back the hundreds of millions of dollars of members funds that he wasted?

I hope the NRA will rebuild into what it was supposed to be all along. Losing Wayne is the first step in the right direction.

I wonder if he will strip all the copper wiring and plumbing from the HQ before he leaves?

This is my hope. Focus on education and shooting sports opportunities.

Good. They are still the political powerhouse for gun rights in America.

Government is playing the long game. They will demonize guns over generations, to get their compliance.

Need a solid organization to promote people rights over several more decades.

Agree with you NTX. Lots of cheap shots taken against the best voice gun owners have ever had. Evidently, it has become embroiled in insider politics. I don’t keep up with that stuff.

Good riddance, hopefully more gun owners will come back aboard.
The NRA is still the big dog representing gun owners.

Agreed. A whole bunch of them have been 'looking the other way' for a LONG time.

NRA's inside politics has a been nothing short of a Boys Club for many years and not serving its members responsibly IMO.

NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre steps down ahead of civil corruption trial.

The 74-year-old LaPierre, who led the National Rifle Association for more than three decades, announced his resignation Friday, citing health reasons. The news comes as the gun rights group is set to begin a corruption trial in New York Monday. A lawsuit filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James accused the NRA's leadership of diverting millions of dollars for their personal use. LaPierre and ex-NRA President Oliver North are expected to testify in the trial.

Not just that but if the method doesn't change, I won't rejoin. Compare to our govt, the names change every 2 years but the method & results remain the same. My NRA membership won't expire until 9/24 but I've stopped donating. I did my research and have chosen GOA to receive my current donations. NRA has a lot to prove before they get anything from me, Lapierre is but a slice of that rotten pie.
