We found out we have a broke septic line under the slab. It's actually broke in 3 areas. There might be another two cracks where two bellies are.

To tunnel is $120 per sq ft. $20,000+/-.

Any suggestions? I might saw cut instead but damn, that's going to be messy . Trying not to displace my family while this unfolds.

Once that is repaired, we'll have 52 piers put in plus foam injection and new flooring.

Sometimes cheaper to go around house if connections are on exterior

Price seems fair and going rate.

You don't saw cut inside residential houses, you have beams you can't destroy

Have you checked to see if your homewoner policy covers leaks/breaks on Cast Iron under slab? There are still a few policies out there that cover it.

I remember you are on Septic System, which means your plumbing is shallow I bet you have a lot of pipes going thru beams, Sounds like the 20K is a pretty good deal.

The last decade or so tunnelling for sanitary repairs is pretty common place

Always get a couple quotes. I had the same issue last year and my first quote was triple what I ended up paying.
We had the kitchen and two bathrooms done and about 50ft of tunneling. It was just under $10k.

I had the same problem with my house in Oak Point. The quote from the plumber was $12,000 for dig the hole, repair the leak, and back fill. I paid the crew putting in my piers $500 to dig the hole and refill it after the plumber fixed the leak.

coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.

Let me know if you need a tunneling guy. He works out of Denton and does a good job.
