The 300 Ham'r continues to put them down this year for me. I got to the lease Monday night and hunted Tuesday through this morning. The cooler weather seemed to have the pigs moving a little better and in daylight as well. Tuesday morning I drop a small boar under what I call my bow feeder and it was a PITA to get him out of the mud pitt. bang He had also been shot or injured in his left leg as it was completely swollen and the armpit area was full of maggots. sick

Tuesday evening I had a medium boar at my South feeder but he winded me after I opened the window and was about to get setup for the shot. A little later I had a sow with 3 piglets at my North feeder and quickly dropped the sow. Just before dark I had a large group come into my bow feeder but not wanting to dig one out of the mud I held off. About that same time I had another large group come out at my South feeder. I got setup but was losing light fast so I picked out a tan colored one and dropped it under the feeder. I took another peek and the pig was gone. I went and looked and found blood under the feeder and another spot about two steps away and then nothing. I looked the next morning and didn't find it.

Thursday morning I had a group of pigs at my South feeder just before first light a few minutes before the feeder was set to go off. I wait for the feeder to go off and the pigs to come back before opening up my window. I picked the biggest sow and sent a 135gr FTX. The pigs scattered and I sent another one before it hit the brush line. Waited until the morning hunt was over before looking and found one small spec of blood under the feeder then nothing. I searched back and forth and ended getting on a game trail and came across some blood. Looked up and the pig was about 20 yards up the trail. I back tracked the blood trail and there was no blood for about 20 yards and then she opened up.

Friday morning brought some cooler temps with a real feel of 19 degrees and lost of frost that looked like a winter wonderland.

and on Friday evening I had another group of pigs come out at my north feeder and one being a blonde boar I had on my game pics that I was after. Quartering away shot low and just behind the right leg right into the heart and offside shoulder/neck dropped him in his tracks under the feeder.
