Is there a $5500 Gemsbok hunt still available?

Good luck. They sell for that and a lot more alive these days since the big winter storm.

Or Namibia -- Shona Adventures will get you one, and a kudu too, if you wish.

I haven’t seen any for $5,500 in a while. Most I see now are $8k-$10k. Personally I have no idea why anyone would spend that much when you can go to South Africa for a week and shoot 5 or more trophy animals (including a Gemsbok) for that price (including airfare).

because you can actually take home the meat here.

OP best bet is broken horn NM draw hunt or off base draw hunt. Both have much better draw odds than on base.

Occasionally you will see some WTX and NM cull hunts for a decent price.

The prices for African game in the states is insane. I know you can keep the meat, but that is some dam expensive meat. I would go to Africa enjoy the experience. We tried some of the meat from most of the animals I shot there.
