Wife was at her sisters all day yesterday with out-of-town friends. Came home and around midnight got the chills and started throwing up. Had a little fever so I deployed a "free" Covid test just for the heck of it. Tested negative. Woke up very late this morning with a fever and no energy. She wanted to open gifts, so we did that. Gave her some Tylenol and sent her back to bed. Sucks to be sick on Christmas day! We're supposed to go to the lease tomorrow morning for the week. I've been baking all morning. Glad there's football on today. Oh well, Merry Christmas everyone.

Influenza has been making the rounds lately. My best friend's sister had it last week, as did one of my clients. Several people at work have called out due to it. I hope your wife feels better soon!

'Oldest grandson (11) is in the hospital recovering from burst appendix surgery. He has been one sick, but tough little dude. Hospital staff has tried to make it as fun as possible. We're traveling and desperate to get home tomorrow to see him.

'Hope your wife is on the mend. up

I have had a sore throat since Thanksgiving with a constant cough. As of yesterday it had moved into my left lung with popping and wheezing. Then get feelings of weakness then chills then goes away minus the cough and popping when I cough.

It’s going around.

Yep, Older brother came up to spend Christmas with us. Gets up yesterday morning short of breath. Took him to the ER, mild heart attack.

Working on getting his Blood Pressure down. Not exactly how we planned on having Cmas together.....but glad it didn't happen to him when he was alone at home in Houston.

No matter what else you might have in life.....you don't have anything if not your health.

Heading back up to the hospital now. Merry Christmas all!

I was low sick for over a week. Still am somewhat, but I am much better last two days. I was negative for Covid, but then I have never tested positive for covid ever. Something is going around. My poor wife has been working every day and longer days because of coworkers out sick "with covid". If one more had called in over the week, she was going to have to close the store.

I think the Big Man had a hand in your brother's Christmas plans. 'Very glad he was with y'all. God bless.

Thanks everyone. Wife got up earlier to take her insulin and eat a bite. She especially wanted me to open her gift to me. Nice, heavy Lands End shirt. She was so excited because it actually fit me! Her enjoyment, even when sick, made my day!

Well done. Yeah, learning the proper size is a very...fine...art, refined over many years. Not a minor detail to be trifled with. You've excelled at the craft. cheers

Wife and I both got hit 4 days ago. Sucky way to spend the holiday season.

I was at the lease for a few days and felt a cold coming on. Of course I didn't have my normal course of vitamins and echinacea, which I swear by, with me. Normally if I can catch it soon enough I can head it off with that. We hunted for another day and got a couple of deer, so that made it worth it, but by the time we got home I was feeling pretty crappy. Spent all day yesterday on the couch with no energy and a bad sore throat. Not a great way to spend the holiday. Already starting to feel better now though.

Be careful of walking pneumonia.

Went to Dr yesterday, chest X-ray and said bad case of bronchitis, I don’t smoke. On breathing treatments, anti biotics and cough medicine. Wants me back in 10 days.

The wife was a little better Wednesday morning but told me to go to the lease without her as she didn’t want to drag me down. Okie dokie!! Called every day since and she’s still a little weak but only slight fever. 28 degrees here this morning so she made the right call! I’ll be home tomorrow.

Son got hit with something on the Sunday of last week. High fever 105*, let it run its course and he felt better Thursday. Then Christmas day he started feeling bad again, got him a Z-Pack yesterday and he started feeling better this morning.
Never tested for anything, but [censored] is going around for sure. Party we were at last week about six people tested positive for Covid....
