brand new, bought for grandson ( then he decides he wants an ar) I had it punched to the AI, nver been shot

Would you happen to know what twist the barrel has? 1-8 on the twist it is 6mm remington AI

Who was the gunsmith who punched it out to AI? Did he remove the barrel and cut one thread off? Did he put his name on the barrel to show how good his work was? Thank you!!
