My 8 yo english pointer has a 3-4 grade murmur according to the vet. He quits pretty early when hunting so I am starting on pimobendan. This drug is highly recommended for heart failure in dogs. It is touted to extend their lives and energy levels. However it is expensive. Do any of you know of a source that is less expensive than say $90 a month for 20 mg per day?

Check with Walmart pet pharmacy online and Chewy.
Walmart had the better prices, back when I was buying Galliprant

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.

I have 2 dogs on Pimobendan (10mg a day each) .. I go thru Wedgewood Pharmacy online .. I have my Vet call it in to them. They fill it and ship it to me.

I'm sorry, I just now got a chance to get back. I have my VET call in the prescription to Wedgewood Pharmacy and they fill it. I am set up on autorefill so shipping is free. Both my dogs are litter mates so they have the same problem Cardiomyopathy (Enlarged Heart).
