My little girl asked Santa for her own pair of binoculars for deer hunting. Any suggestions for some that focus automatically? Bushnell used to make a “perma focus” that was plenty good enough for this. Thanks In advance.

Not sure how old she is, but the Vortex Diamondbacks are pretty darn good for the $$. I also have a pair of Vortex Eagle HD that I really like. Not too terribly big and the lifetime warranty eliminates risk if they treat them like most kids treat most things. Keith

Celestron Outland X are on sale right now. Very light and compact and kid friendly. Mine take a beating though in the rice fields.

Anything you can get for under $50. She's 10 $100 is the new $50 (not getting political, just stating a fact).

Go on Amazon and get her a pair of Kylietech 12x42 binoculars. They are $36 and I use them for deer hunting in South Texas. To me, these focus out excellent and are crystal clear. My wife a daughter both love to use these binoculars. I cannot afford a $500 pair even for myself but I love these.

I bought my 10 yo grandson vortex 10x28. Not happy with them. Eye relief seems like it’s not right for him. He can never get in focus. He has no trouble using my Swarovski 8x30. I think I’m going to try something else for him.

Cheap glass can cause eye strain, go use whatever you buy for a while and see if they give you a headache. Kids deserve decent glass too so as not to make glassing a pain.
