Funny every time I hear slow rain thumping on the roof, dripping down the gutter down spout, brings back old memories of laying bed, listing to the rain, waiting on the alarm clock to go off, thinking about how I'm going to deal with the rain. Now days I just stay in bed...

It really reminds me of one particular hunt, it was a great hunt, but we got our truck stuck in the mud headed home. It was with a friend just got his new 4x4 (his brother is on this forum), he was excited to put it to use, we got stuck like chuck.. You can have the rain, I'm done with that kinda hunting. Last time I hunted in the rain mohunter talked me into that hunt, he told me to just bring an umbrella is the trick. All I remember about that hunt was both of us sitting there waiting on birds to come, with our umbrella, it is just pouring down rain, and I'm thinking how the hell did he talk me into this.

Now hunting in the snow is cool. Rain...

I was set to go this morning. Alarm was at 4:30, my daughter came I to the bedroom at 4:25 because she had just thrown up and wasn't feeling good. I decided to just sleep in so I didn't hear about it from the wife today...... Wife and her are at the Dr right now.

I was gonna take off and hunt today, looked at the forecast...

One year at our annual dove hunt. The morning hunt was rained out. In the afternoon let up some so they decided to go. Stopped at walmart before and bought a coupe of fold up canopies. They sat under the canopy in the rain and shot limits of doves. Little muddy but everyone but the dogs were dry.
