Jody’s great burgers salads and killer chicken tenders. Oscar Store east of town in Oscar . CFS, burgers are huge, catfish etc. Love Saigon Cafe on the loop for Chinese and Thai. Pignetti’s downtown for higher end

Yep, Oscar Store is well worth the short drive out there.

Silver spurs and gold tequila
keep me hanging on.
Pretty girls and old cantinas
give me shelter from the storm.

East of Temple is Green's Sausage House. The food is ok, the service is terrible, but the meat counter is da bomb. Good prices for their meats.

Old Jody’s is about the only place I’d eat in temple/belton.

Greens is good but no dinner. Great bacon and sausage I keep wanting to try their processing for deer sausage

I've used Green's for a few deer.. Not cheap but their smoked sausage is REALLY good.

Temple is a Mecca of chain restaurants. Very little unique food there. They have a Cheeve's Brothers steakhouse if you feel like paying for good service
and a slightly better than average steak. Their baked potatoes, however, are outstanding.
