I’ve shipped several rifles and shotguns within Texas using USPS. I’ve heard of others having issues with USPS, but I believe it might be location dependent. Shipped mine from Corpus Christi and they didn’t bat an eye.

Did they ask what you were shipping?
I once drank muddy water out of a hoof print and was dang glad to get it.

USPS makes it super easy. Have done it on a handful of occasions. Print out the regulations from their website just in case a clerk pushes back.
I've been up front about what is in there, but I don't know if that is required.

I’ve shipped USPS but only certain locations will accept them in my experience.. The ones that don’t always helped me find one that would-
I really hate to do what I am about to do, because it will be very painful for you.

UPS and FedEx won't even do it anymore person to person so USPS is it. I have done it several times with USPS without any issues at all.

Get a free online account to buy and print the postage yourself. This will avoid acceptance problems in most cases. See, they usually will ship anything that is pre-paid ... it's selling you postage on a "questionable" (to dummies) item where they usually falter.
Pass the gravy.

I was going to send back a recall stock, but they required the entire gun to be shipped. Closest facility that was approved for firearms shipping was 40 miles away. Said screw it, I’ll just buy a replacement stock vs dealing with the drive and traffic.
I didn’t even think to ask USPS, wish I had checked it out.

I tend to break down mine in 2 or 3 pieces. Makes for a smaller box and it's basically "parts" at that point vs a complete rifle.

If it wasn’t then you could not ship it via USPS. Receivers, frames and handguns are not mailable except by a manufacturer or FFL licensee.

I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

UPS and FedEx won't even do it anymore person to person so USPS is it. I have done it several times with USPS without any issues at all. The heartburn is with UPS partnering with the anti-2A senators to create back door gun control. UPS sent me a letter stating such and said if i refused to sign a contract with them, they would remove my account. I told them what they could do with their woke [censored] agenda & their contract. FedEx simply parrots them. Funny thing about it, UPS brings guns to my door at least twice weekly. I just laugh. USPS has never not treated me with respect as they welcome my business. They don’t ask as they already what my shipments contain.
