How does most people find land to hunt on for varmint hunting only?

The worst idea is to drive past a no trespassing sign onto the ranch and ask. I can't tell you the best idea, but that's the worst.

Hit up the feed stores in the smaller towns. Find out who owns goats and sheep via the purchase of goat and sheep feeds and try to get their names. Contact these people and they are more likely to give you permission since varmints destroy their livestock more so than cattle owners. Offer to meet them at their place, don't be late and if they are doing chores offer to help them. Also, if the landowner/ranch owner needs a weekend off, offer to check on his place for him. It might not work, but it might also. Invest some time and try to see their situation through their eyes.

I've tried a few folks on my place. Like to get rid of more coyotes. But I'm starting to believe most coyote hunters are not very good at it. Out of the 4 folks I've let try, none have killed one. They see and hear them, just can't get one.
