talking to a Scheels employee from South Africa. Says suppressors are sold over the counter, it's the guns that take forever to buy and the hoops are terrible. Europe is OTC in many places as well. It’s considered poor manners not to use a suppressor. It’s like driving your car without a muffler.

It’s all about a revenue stream. Fine, keep the 200$ tax but skip the wait. Perform a background check and go on. It is idiotic to go through the ATF since most people than can own firearms can own suppressors. Well sadly this is what they do now, just drag thier heels as long as possible to do it. Literally jsut a regular nics check liek any other purchase.
