My Dad was an avid hunter in the 1940s thru the 1980s. He taught me everything about loving the entire process of hunting. How to stalk (walk) hunt. How to shoot. How to respect the animal you took. He wrote a hunting column for years for the Taylor, Texas newspaper called " Rod and Gun". I still have newspapers clippings of his column.

So next I taught my son the lessons my Dad taught me. We hunted many times over the years.

Next I taught my grandchildren (boys and girls) how to hunt and shoot and respect the animals.

So the following pictures is a montage of these many years of loving to hunt and respecting the rules of hunting. Hope you enjoy.

Starts with me and my Dad at Lampasas deer lease around 1972. Check out his Jeep in the background.

Next is me and my son bowhunting in Idaho for elk Next is me and my son when he shot this LF 160 inch 8 year old buck. The following are my 7 different grandkids as they shot their first deer or animal. I am now waiting for my great grandkids! Someone once said "if your children are hunting and fishing they do not have time to get into trouble" Life is good!

My 25 year old grandson was my hunting buddy until he got hooked on video games at about 12- years old. He was always there to help me fill feeders but never hunted.

Then last week he called and picked up my 30 30 and went hunting. He saw hogs, a coyote and some turkeys but said he would save those for later. I hope he is back.

I can’t remember in the first pic if that’s a hat or your hair. I’ll also assume that’s a knife on your belt and not a cell phone.
I would love to see those articles of your Dads, seriously.

This is exactly what this is all about!
Great stuff here sir!

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Great pics!
