Socialist ideology is ruining those countries. There are huge costs with taking in millions of people.
One of my buddies who left to Ajijic Mexico was broken by the taxes here. He now has permanent residency and two guns and is completely happy.

Every county that has a large city, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, McKinney will eventually go democrat. Democrats love living on top of each other.
Democrats are so dumb.

And unfortunately those big cities dictate everything. Colorado, Michigan and Wisconsin are widely conservative, but large counties dictate everything in the state.

Oklahoma is working out for me. No place on earth other than the good old U.S.A. I could move back home.

The wife says she could live in Ireland, but I doubt she/we could do it long term. We’ll stay in Texas.

Roll-Tide, get away from the metro mess to rural Texas and you will feel like you’re already in a different country.

To where would he up to you. You name it. Ireland, Belize, Portugal. ??? You will never find the freedom you have here, no matter where you go. They’re all going to take more of your money, all of your guns and the things we don’t even know we have. This^^^ The good old US of A is still the most free place on earth. Gotta stay and fight to keep that freedom.

These summers are getting rough. I worry about very important stuff now like, do I need more corn from the feed store, the weather, can I finish running my trap line before dark and other equally pressing matters.

There’s too many trade offs for me to consider leaving. I’d really only consider Europe to live in.
The US has a terrible culture (in terms of work/life balance) and healthcare compared to just about every European country. However, a good portion of Europe has pretty much criminalized “incorrect” thought and heavy firearms restrictions

Absolutely not, for a long list of reasons. I place a very high value on DAILY quality of life. To me the richest guy is not the one with the most money in the bank or the biggest mcmansion. It's the guy who wakes up everyday and has to most joy/fun. And I'm not talking just the last few years of life when you're a geezer.
I've been able to vote for exactly 20 years here in Palo Pinto County. There has not been ONE single local Democrat run for office in that time as far as I can remember. Not sure where else I can go that is any more Conservative than here. To say we're Red is an understatement lol
There are alot of things I would never consider giving up to live somewhere else other than RURAL Texas. Learning another language, driving something like a HiLux, buying firearms, eating different food for life, etc.
I like driving a truck, eating chicken fried steak and shooting pigs/coyotes in my underwear off the front/back porches while having coffee. I don't think there is any where else in the world that I would be better off after moving to.

USA is too easy to make money and you have unlimited opportunity to better yourself in the USA.
That is why you see all these Forgieners come to USA and become millionares, they never had that opportunity in their home country.
Best thing one can do is travel outside of USA and explore other countries to make you appreciate what we have in the USA.

Wife and I are both 70. Both of our families have been in Williamson County, Texas, USA since the 1800's. We have 7 grandkids living in the same town that we live in.
IMO it would be a disgrace to those who came before us to move out of this country. We travel alot and even though we enjoy it we are always happy to get back to home.
You can't fix stupid

I've had the opportunity to live in Europe (6 years), Tennessee a couple of years, and Alaska for 3 years. I've always come back here to Texas. I've come back to the Marble Falls area to work and had planned to retire here as I'm from Burnet. Not anymore, totally overrun with people out of Austin. Houses and sub divisions are springing up it seems over night. Now, we're looking at other places but still in Texas. Alpine is looking better and better.
